The participation of the artisans of Bourj Hammoud in the Garden Show on the eve of the International Year of Biodiversity aims to raise awareness of the visitors to the dynamic of the interactions caused by our activities which must respect the right of every kind of life including man and his environment. It also enters in the frame of the celebration of the Year of Women in the Armenian community, for the Woman embroiders Life, while Biodiversity makes life sustainable. “The designers and the craftsmen of Bourj Hammoud contribute to the protection of biodiversity by providing knowledge about medicinal plants, practices and laws of fishing and hunting and the art of caring for animals as well as they raise the respect for the cultural heritage of the city and its inhabitants.  This will improve life in its all forms and develop a sustainable environment.

Meet the17 year old teenager, Nareg Jackmayan. He is preparing himself to climb MOUNT ARARAT (5137 m).

If he succeeds, he’ll become the youngest Lebanese to conquer ARARAT.

His goal is to spread the gospel of OUTDOOR enjoyment to a younger generation
